How do I get to Saint Lucia?
The island has airports in the north and south, and most international visitors arrive by air before continuing by road. Journeys between the north and the Soufriere area take time because of the winding, hilly coast, so many travellers use taxis, private transfers or water taxis. Check current routes and transfer times with your host, as the drive across the island can be longer than the distance suggests.
When is the best time to visit?
Saint Lucia has a drier season and a wetter, warmer season, and conditions can vary across the island because of its mountains. The drier months are generally the most settled for beaches and hiking, while the greener season brings occasional heavier rain.
