FZRY

FZRY - short for FitzRoy - is at Tschaval, where the road ends at the head of the Gressoney valley and Monte Rosa fills the view. A young team runs the bar and restaurant, which has a fireplace and two dining rooms that mix old alpine wood with a modern look.

The kitchen reworks Aosta Valley classics with produce from nearby: fassone beef fillet with lime and pink pepper, beef cooked slowly and served with tuna sauce, fresh tagliolini with artichokes and guanciale, or cheek braised in Torrette red wine and served with polenta and glazed shallots. The menu changes with the seasons, and the bar pours cocktails and wines from many regions. Tables can be booked online, by phone or on WhatsApp.
