Restaurant & Pizzeria LUNA

Luna is a restaurant and pizzeria in Prodol, a village in the municipality of Marčana. The house dates its beginnings to 1995 and provides a substantial amount of seating: three indoor rooms accommodate two hundred guests, with another hundred places on the terrace. That layout gives it scope for both ordinary meals and private gatherings. Air conditioning, a heated terrace, a children's corner and parking are among its stated facilities. The menu ranges well beyond pizza. Seafood choices include grilled squid with Swiss chard and potatoes, a fish platter for two, and scampi prepared either on the grill or in buzara sauce. Pasta can be ordered with truffles, seafood, mussels or a Bolognese sauce. Meat dishes include ribeye with potatoes and sautéed mushrooms, roast veal, stuffed pork fillet and chicken prepared in the Viennese style. An eggplant dish combines tomato, mozzarella and Parmesan. The pizza selection moves from familiar combinations to toppings with an Istrian accent. Alongside margherita and mushroom pizzas are versions with prosciutto and olives, truffle spread and Grana Padano, or mozzarella, rocket and cherry tomatoes. A vegetable pizza includes mushrooms, seasonal vegetables and olives. Desserts include strawberry cheesecake, lava cake with ice cream, panna cotta and pancakes with several fillings. Luna welcomes pets and offers takeaway, wireless internet and card payment. Reservations can be requested by telephone or through the restaurant's booking form, with space to discuss the size and needs of a visiting group.
