Restaurant Sokol

Restaurant Sokol sits just inside the old city walls of Nin, at Hrvatskog sabora 2. The Tartaro family traces the restaurant's history to 1951 and describes the present business as its third generation. It is a useful choice when a table wants Dalmatian dishes alongside familiar grilled meats and pizza, with several ways to put together a meal.

The kitchen's introduction puts the Tartaro special, house pasta and house salad at the centre of its offer. It also highlights Steak Tartaro with pepper sauce, tomatoes and homemade bread. Fish is part of the restaurant's identity, while ćevapčići and mixed grilled meat platters provide another route through the menu. Ask which fish and house dishes are available for your visit.

Pizza has a distinctive local connection here. The restaurant describes toppings that include shrimp, rocket and šokol, the cured pork speciality associated with Nin. This gives diners a choice between coastal ingredients and something particularly connected to the town. The broader pizza selection includes familiar tomato-and-cheese combinations, useful when different appetites need to be accommodated at the same table.

For a visit, use the restaurant's address inside the town walls and contact the team directly about service times and a table. Discuss any particular fish or house speciality when booking, especially if that dish is the reason for your visit. The restaurant's direct telephone and email make it straightforward to plan the meal before arriving in Nin.
