Rates checked in September 2026. Under its single-fee structure, Airbnb charges most hosts 15.5%; Airbnb says other hosts typically pay between 14% and 16%. Exceptions depend on country and account type. Booking.com sets the commission rate in each accommodation agreement, and visibility programmes may increase it. This worked example uses a possible range of 15% to 25%. If Booking.com facilitates payment, the applicable payment terms and transaction cost are contract-specific. Our 3.9% cost contribution is included in the displayed total and contributes towards Stripe payment fees and refunds. BookNoFees earns nothing from it. Nothing is added at checkout and nothing is deducted from the owner. Fee models can change, so please check each platform’s current terms. About Bijilo
Staying in Bijilo
Bijilo sits on The Gambia's West Coast, just south of the busy Kololi resort area and its Senegambia tourist strip. Its best-known draw is Bijilo Forest Park, a small fenced coastal woodland of shaded trails, palms and baobabs that locals nickname "Monkey Park." Walkers regularly spot green vervet monkeys and the shyer, endangered western red colobus, and the reserve is a birdwatching favourite with well over a hundred recorded species. Just beyond the trees lie broad Atlantic beaches, with the bars, restaurants and nightlife of the Senegambia strip an easy walk or short ride away. The main tourist season runs through the dry months, roughly November to April, when rainfall is low and days are warm. Bijilo lies only a short drive from Banjul International Airport, and shared or private taxis make getting around simple. It suits travellers who want nature, beach and calm within reach of Kololi's action, rather than a party base itself.
