Calebotta Restaurant & Bar

Calebotta occupies a house in Trogir's old town whose story reaches back to 1920, when Frane Calebotta built it and opened a cinema. His descendants' restaurant keeps that family name while offering three different dining settings: an interior facing the wine bar, a garden enclosed by old architecture and a front area connected to the life of the town.

Dalmatian ingredients shape the food, with homemade pasta, fish and grilled meat forming the centre of the menu. A seafood starter plate combines tuna tartare, octopus carpaccio, marinated sea bass and prawns. For a smaller beginning, there is seared goat's cheese with prosciutto, honey and rosemary, or zucchini carpaccio with goat's cheese and pine nuts.

Main dishes give each diner a distinct direction. Choose lamb pašticada with homemade gnocchi, tuna with aromatic polenta, or white fish in lemon sauce. Mussels in buzara sauce and grilled squid bring familiar coastal flavours, while fuži with mushrooms and dried tomatoes offer a meat-free pasta option. A fish platter for two is another choice for a shared table.

Calebotta also publishes a breakfast menu, from poached eggs with bacon to yoghurt, granola and berry sauce. Children have pasta Bolognese or grilled chicken with fries, and the dessert selection includes cheesecake and crumble.
