Das Franz

Das Franz is the restaurant at Camping Resort Bodenmais on Regener Straße, welcoming visitors as well as people staying at the campsite or hotel. Its cooking takes familiar regional dishes and gives them the kitchen's own interpretation. Burgers, steaks, salads and changing creations from chef Sascha form the core of the offer, with ingredients sourced from the region and much of the produce organic. The result is a menu that combines hearty Bavarian influences with the flexibility of a contemporary restaurant. The interior uses reclaimed wood, natural stone and moss to create a setting that connects modern design with materials associated with the surrounding landscape. Inside and outside together, the restaurant has around 140 seats. The smaller Silberbergstüberl accommodates approximately ten people and provides another option for a gathering around one table. Outside, the sunny beer garden has roughly seventy seats and views extending into the Zellertal. Its food offering includes substantial cold snacks, coffee and cake, with dishes such as roasts, the house burger and fish appearing in the outdoor dining offer. A bar completes the setting for guests who want a drink alongside their visit. The restaurant explicitly welcomes people who are neither camping nor hotel guests and asks for reservations in advance. Pets can join their owners in the beer garden and rustic huts; the indoor restaurant itself is kept animal free.
